Hey Jp, I have a rapid-fire question. Will you make any improvements on the Pro fab 2 12 box like reinforce the corners and pre drill the holes and screw together so they won't separate like my u12s did and will you make a 3 cu ft box for 2 12s.

[Charging] System voltage over 14.4V is fool's gold. It used to make a difference (like mid-late 90's "cheater" amps) but current era amps have more efficient modulating internal power regulation... JP said it perfectly. Going for 15V+ or +++ is like buying a $100 tube of lipstick for your ex... no ROI, $ down the drain, a complete drain on the system. I'm an SQ/SQL guy of 39+ years, *Burps* do not require a higher system voltage, they require an optimized system build with immediately available 'surge power' (Like in the D4S hybrid SMALL CU. FT. space 'battery'.). Burps require SURGE Power. Voltage over 15V relates to other applications, not $-Watt applicable for 'car audio' applications. High Output Alternators are also useless for "Burp" tests. *Here comes the hate. If you have a more limited budget but can afford $3,500-5,000USD for a system, the amp you want (IMO) is the JP77 or EZYPWR 810. You need a DSP anyway, regardless of system. "Over pay" for an amp which is rated "over powered" for your specific install. Run the amp at a higher impedance per channel. Efficiency will be much high and you can use the DP/amp Gains to "dial down" the output wattage if that is actually a thing, lol. I am designing a system for my soon to have SMART car utilizing the D4S EZY 810 The "computer brain" regulates the alternator output voltage at @14.3V at @1200 RPMS active/driving. Blah, Blah.... long story not so long, running the channels ALL at 4ohm or @2ohm (4ohm Bridged) will let the amp run much more EFFICIENTLY. Therefore, much cooler and requiring less reserve power regardless of voltage (12V-16V). Pure Lithium reserve/Capacitor banks required a system compatibility of up to 16V+ but again, the D4S Hybrid "battery" solves that issue and at a much reduce $$$ cost, much less physical weight load (Yes, it is lighter than the equivalent in even DIY Lithium Super Bank Capacitors... don't forget the machined buss bars and massive Sq.Ft. requirements. 30 years ago we had a resting voltage of 13.8V (if we were lucky & cheap). Higher voltage WILL burn out components quicker or immediately if the amps' internal power supply is regulated at a lower voltage. Such is NOT covered under most manufacturers' warranties and maybe I'm cheap but I can't afford to burn $1k-5k in amps to win the approval of people who I will likely never see again. If you're a sponsored installer and get FREE (who does that) components, burn them at will, IMO, and also... go for that 16V or even a regulated 18V or 24V. If it is going to burn, burn it, baby! Just have a fire extinguisher or two available... SERIOUSLY. Even manufacturer demo vehicles 'catch smoke' sometimes.

JP, brother, we need demos. 95% of us will never HEAR D4S unless we buy them. Certain lines (like the AMAZING, ONE OF MY FAVES, the JXF line). I'm going SMART car... if a hard top, Hertz but if a convertible, D4S JFX... the JFX Series cuts through the wind noise clearly (I'm a 39+ year SQ/DQL guy)... more than $60k spent in my lifetime, tried MANY. The JFX Series is GREAT for SQ with drop tops/convertibles. Yes, with ANY system, you need a quality DSP... D4S has those. NO, I am not affiliated with D4S but am a D4S/Kicker/Hertz/NVX/SHCA user, 100% across those brands ONLY now.

I’m planning on running a jp33 and a jp234 have a ram 2500 diesel with a 180 amp alt what electrical upgrades would you recommend? Non lithium if possible

Great add to the line-up JP!! [I got Unsubscribed again, watch that button, people. YT is infamous for removing Subscribers from random YT Channels] I called D4S CS earlier today and submitted a few recommendations for the website, listing of Specs, had to call Kicker also for the same info. For many of us out here with smaller vehicles (I'm getting a SMART car in a couple of months) weight of subs/amps/etc. is critical. Including the gross weight of an item (not packaging obviously) is becoming more important for installers, gas prices not being the reason. Also, the displacement of components (subs and even other speakers, these numbers may differ only by hundredths of a cu.ft. but Size/Displacement Matters). Also, the JP77 & EZYPWR 810, some other amps, they don't list what the power/ground [inputs] or speaker [outputs] can accept (also if it is o/1 or 0/2, if for 14awg speaker cable, is it standard 14awg or oversized 14awg). These 'small details' are big deals in setting up a system in a small vehicle and even larger ones for many of us. when you have a spool of "oversized" 12awg speaker wire (SHCA) then find out that an amp only accepts 14awg (not even knowing 'oversized or regular') that really sucks in system planning/procurement of materials for those of us who spend a lot $$$ but have to save for it. This is a request to include info on the website which companies already have in their white papers, not a criticism or complaint... a request for this info :D I also have one more request but in terms of a manufacturing thing for D4S amps (I WILL be getting the 10 Channel once I get my SMART car)... can't wait for that 'Bid DW' review which I already was told is coming... could D4S amps have the Serial # label adhered to the internal chassis of the amp or in a different 'non-external way than on the plexi-bottom panel? It ruins the aesthetic of installing the amp plexi-side up or maybe there's something I don't know. The white chassis D4S amps look just like the inner workings of Optimus Prime with the red & blue color scheme against the white "border", IMO, would like to display it, JS ;)
